Hi! I'm Christy Fagan, CSR, CRR, RMR, RPR, the owner of Legal Solutions Court Reporting & Video. I've been reporting in DFW since 1992 and opened my firm in 2004. I love my job and can't imagine doing anything else! I have longtime clients and would love to add you to the list. My rates are competitive and my quick response time to any request has always been my strength because I know every aspect of every job, from scheduling, to exhibits, to invoicing, etc. I am realtime certified and merit certified (higher speed) in Texas and nationally.
Our conference rooms for depositions in Dallas, Texas, can be booked for free if you're using our court reporting services. We would need to know the date of the depo, start time, about how many people will be in attendance, and then the approximate time period the conference room will be needed. Once the reservation is confirmed, we'll let you know that we had a room available for that day.
Owning a digital recorder doesn't make you a court reporter.
Some things are better left to the pros. The licensed ones.
We'll set up your Zoom for you and email participants. We will record the session for our own editing purposes but will be deleted afterwards.
If you need the depo videotaped, please hire a videographer. Court reporters cannot serve in any role other than the court reporter and cannot record and provide Zoom recordings for you.
Our videographer sends you the video and his invoice directly, keeping your costs down. Most firms distribute the video and add on fees after they receive it from the videographer. You can contact him directly with any questions, but we will schedule him for you. Rick@PlatinumPointMedia.com

In Texas, you are required to use a Texas certified shorthand reporter for depositions in Texas. You cannot use a person with a digital recorder and a microphone to create your transcript. They are not certified and are not licensed by any board, do not have to do continuing education and have zero experience in producing a verbatim transcript. Do NOT agree to use these people that are calling themselves "digital reporters." There's no such thing and you don't have to go along with whatever X firm is telling you just so they can cover the job instead of finding a certified reporter.
The only three licensed methods allowed in Texas are machine shorthand, mask (voice) writers, and pen shorthand.
